Hi, I’m Lachelle, a Texas native, a social worker by trade, and the mom behind Full Heart Mommy.

I started this blog when my youngest was a baby, writing about pregnancy, newborns, and the toddler years. Life has moved on since then — she’s seven now and I’m in a completely different season. So the blog is too.

I’m a mom in a blended family, which means I’m living multiple chapters of motherhood at once. But this space is dedicated to the one I’m in the thick of right now, the elementary school years. The after school chaos, the screen time negotiations, the activities, the car conversations, the homework in parking lots. The part of parenting nobody really prepared me for.

By day I’m a social worker, which means I spend a lot of time thinking about families, resources, and what people actually need versus what looks good on paper. That perspective sneaks into everything I write here.

When I’m not working or creating content, you can find me running outside with music in my ears, reading with an iced coffee in hand, or wearing some shade of pink, probably all three.
